Free Outreaches & Scout Night- May 11-14, 2020

Every year the Story Crossroads Festival will have many outreaches performed and taught.  These are usually open to the public.  If it is a school, then you need to check in at the office for a visitor badge.  These outreaches occur before, during, and after the Festival and are always free. These are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday on May 11-14, 2020.

Monday & Tuesday–Senior Centers and Schools – Daytime

Tuesday–Scout & Family Fun Night at Blind Center – 7:00pm-7:50pm (Includes flag ceremony)

Wednesday–Schools – Afternoon

Thursday–Teens/Adults of General Public, Evening Academic Discussion & Concert, “The Language of Story: German Language & Culture” followed by “The Big Secret Story Concert: A Land Twice Promised”

Scout Night – Boys and Girls, All Scouts are recognized during flag ceremony before performance, Any Scouts in attendance can return to the Festival on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 for free

Academic Discussion & Concert

Gale Center of History and Culture

This is the 4th annual academic discussion featuring professors of language and cultural arts.  After the discussion is a story concert geared for teens and adults and open to the public.  Both the discussion and the concert are free.
ASL Interpretation, Spanish Headsets & Audio Descriptions available all night

6:00pm-6:45pm-“The Language of Story: Hungarian” Academic Discussion facilitated by Dr. Dale H. Boam and featuring Dr. Csenge Zalka

7:00pm-9:00pm-“The Big Secret Story Concert: The Princess in the Shroud” geared for teens and adults
