Our 9th Annual Story Crossroads Summit & Festival is hybrid and so you will have both virtual and in-person field trip options. Even if you plan on in-person, you can pass along the unlisted YouTube playlist to your students’ families that will be available from May 13, 2024 to June 15, 2024.
Registration & Frequently Asked Questions
How do we register for field trips?
Registration is the same for virtual or in-person field trips and includes:
- Basic information: Fill out name of group, grade(s) or age(s) of attendees, contact information of whoever is coordinating the field trip, zipcode of your school/group and questions (if any).
- Payment: Either pay $30/class (increases to $45 after May 1st) to include student & teacher households OR $10/homeschool group (increases to $15 after May 1st) to include households. For general admission, it is $25 per household of 1+ people (increases to $35 after May 1st). You can pay at time of registration OR choose “invoice” though must be paid in full by May 13, 2024.
- Go to storycrossroads.org/virtualfieldtrips or click here for direct registration link.
What ages/grades are best for this Summit & Festival? Anyone from Kindergarten to older adults will enjoy this Festival. The materials shared are family-friendly. There will be a couple performances or academic sessions best for teens and adults though technically ages 10+ would still enjoy and understand them.
What is an extra bonus? Anyone who takes part in the $30/class rate has access as an individual and extends to the families of the students and teachers. We ask that anyone beyond that register separately.
What is the platform being used for your virtual field trip and for how long will it be available to view?
We will use our YouTube Channel as an unlisted playlist with the link given only to registrants or main contact(s) for virtual field trips. Besides this link, the Summit & Festival webpage reminds you of the overall schedule. We will have a mix of pre-recorded, live-streamed events, and hybrid events where both in-person and recordings are available. If you are unable to watch during the scheduled times, you can return to the unlisted YouTube playlist link and view from May 13-June 15, 2024.
What if we want to experience the in-person part of the Story Crossroads Summit & Festival? We are at the Murray City Park, Murray, Utah starting on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 starting at 9:30am. If you are interested in seats at this live part, then checkmark “live” in your ticketing/registration and we will be in touch. You can also email us at info@storycrossroads.org.
When can you expect reminders and more details about the Festival? We will send out a confirmation email after registration. Please check your spam/junk folder for any emails from us. As the festival nears, we share more schedule details on April 1, May 1, and May 10, 2024.
Who funds this event? Funding has come from the National Endowment for the Arts; National Endowment for the Humanities; Utah Division of Arts and Museums/Utah Legislature; Utah Humanities; Western States Arts Federation; Zoo, Arts & Parks (ZAP) of Salt Lake County; Salt Lake City Arts Council; and people like you.
How do we donate to your 501(c)3 nonprofit? Donations are always appreciated. You can go to storycrossroads.org/donate for the direct way as well as supporting by creating a Facebook fundraiser or purchasing through Smile Amazon.
